
LEONARDTOWN, Md. – The annual Veterans Day Parade in Leonardtown returned on November 11, drawing thousands of spectators to honor veterans and celebrate their dedication to our country. Hosted by the Commissioners of Leonardtown and the Commissioners of St. Mary’s County, the parade took place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., beginning at St. Mary’s Ryken High School and proceeding through Leonardtown’s historic Town Square.



As participants made their way down the streets, flags waved proudly, and heartfelt tributes filled the air, creating a memorable experience for community members of all ages. Following the parade, a solemn Memorial Wreath Laying Ceremony was held in Town Square, paying tribute to the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.



This year’s event continues a proud tradition in Leonardtown that dates back to the early 1970s, and the strong turnout highlights the community’s unwavering respect and support for veterans and their families. The parade remains a cherished occasion, bringing together people from all walks of life to express their gratitude for those who have served.
