Indian Head, MD – A morning fire that damaged an abandoned Chevrolet Crew Car truck in Charles County Wednesday, Sept. 6 was deliberately set, investigators reported. According to the Maryland State Fire Marshalโ€™s Office, the blaze was discovered around 10 a.m. on Mattawoman Creek Road in Indian Head by a neighbor. Four firefighters were dispatched the one-alarm blaze but the fire burned out by the time they arrived.

โ€œThe fire was found to have been intentionally set,โ€ a responding deputy fire marshal reported. โ€œThe owner had not been determined at the time of this release.โ€

No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made at this time. Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $2,500.
