Indian Head, MD – A morning fire that damaged an abandoned Chevrolet Crew Car truck in Charles County Wednesday, Sept. 6 was deliberately set, investigators reported. According to the Maryland State Fire Marshalโs Office, the blaze was discovered around 10 a.m. on Mattawoman Creek Road in Indian Head by a neighbor. Four firefighters were dispatched the one-alarm blaze but the fire burned out by the time they arrived.
โThe fire was found to have been intentionally set,โ a responding deputy fire marshal reported. โThe owner had not been determined at the time of this release.โ
No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made at this time. Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $2,500.
