INDIAN HEAD, Md. — A man escaped serious injury Wednesday afternoon after his truck flipped over a guardrail and landed upside down on Mason Springs Road near the intersection of Chicamuxen Road in Indian Head.
The crash was reported at about 1 p.m. on Aug. 20, when callers told 911 dispatchers a vehicle had overturned with a man trapped inside. Fire and rescue crews arrived to find the truck completely flipped.
The driver was the sole occupant. He managed to get out of the vehicle before being taken for evaluation. No transport was required.
Authorities remained on the scene briefly to secure the overturned truck and investigate the circumstances of the crash.
