SCOTLAND, Md. — Emergency crews responded to a residential structure fire early Wednesday morning near the intersection of MacArthur Drive and Scotland Beach Road, where two people suffered burn injuries.

The fire was reported around 7:04 a.m. on March 25, 2026. Crews arrived to find a one-story single-family home with fire showing, and two victims outside with burn injuries.

Due to the severity of the injuries, Maryland State Police Trooper 7 and Trooper 2 helicopters were requested to the scene to transport both victims to trauma centers. A working incident task force was also activated as crews worked to contain the fire.

Multiple fire and EMS units responded to the scene as the incident remains active.
