
UPDATE – Mechanicsville Double Stabbing: Man Charged With Attempted Murder After Brutal Attack
MECHANICSVILLE, Md. — Two people were flown to trauma centers Tuesday evening, July 15, 2025, after a stabbing in a Mechanicsville home left them with life-threatening neck injuries.
Emergency responders were called around 5:50 p.m. to the 42100 block of Patuxent Drive, where they found three people hurt. Two victims were flown by helicopter to area trauma centers for emergency treatment. The third individual, believed to be involved in the incident, was taken into custody at the scene.
Firefighters set up a landing zone at Oakville Elementary School for Maryland State Police Trooper 7 and Trooper 2 helicopters.
The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what led to the stabbing.
