
HUNTINGTOWN, Md. — Two people were taken to the hospital Thursday evening after a two-vehicle crash in Calvert County that left one car off the roadway and a traffic sign knocked down.
The collision happened around 6:43 p.m. Aug. 21, 2025 in the 1200 block of Plum Point Road. Crews arrived to find a green minivan with heavy rear-end damage resting on the grass shoulder near a speed limit sign that had been struck and toppled.
Ambulances from North Beach and Prince Frederick transported two patients to area hospitals for treatment.
Firefighters and tow crews worked to secure the scene and remove debris.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office.
