AVENUE, Md. – Two people were injured, one critically, after a multi-vehicle crash Monday evening on Colton Point Road near Downs Drive.
Fire and rescue crews responded to the scene around 6:15 p.m., on February 3, 2025, to find two SUVs and an Amazon delivery van involved in the collision with two occupants sustained injuries.
EMS evaluated the victims on-site, requesting a MEDEVAC for one patient due to the severity of their injuries. Firefighters established a landing zone at Dynard Elementary School for Maryland State Police, Trooper 2 helicopter.
The patient was subsequently airlifted to UM Capital Region Medical Center with traumatic injuries, while the other patient was transported to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
