Two Minibikes Involved In Serious Collision, Operator Flown To Trauma Center

LEXINGTON PARK, Md. — A serious motorcycle collision was reported on Three Notch Road near Mattapany Road on February 1, 2024, around 3:15 p.m. Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found two minibikes involved in the collision.

One female operator sustained multiple injuries. Emergency Medical Services evaluated the patient on the scene and requested a MEDEVAC.

The injured woman was transported by ambulance to St. Mary’s County Regional Airport, where she was met by Maryland State Police, Trooper 2, at the hangar. She was then airlifted to UM Capital Region Trauma Center for further treatment.

Police continue to investigate the incident.

  3. This is a everyday event on 235 teens riding unlicensed motorized vehicles on our roadways. With no regards to traffic laws. With nothing done to correct this.

  4. I saw several people acting goofy on bicycles/dirt-bikes/motorcycles in Charlotte Hall yesterday. On highways, doing goofy circles in mediums at traffic lights, etc.. Was is a full moon?
