Two arrests made for drug distribution, prescription fraud

Leonardtown, MD – St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Vice/Narcotics detectives identified Lavonte Devow King, 24, of Lexington Park, as a distributor of cocaine. Detectives made several undercover purchases of cocaine from Suspect King which led to his indictment and subsequent arrest. Suspect King was charged with multiple counts of “Distribution of Cocaine” and was originally held on a “No Bond” status.

Brandon Lowell Stump, 23, of Mechanicsville, was charged with “Altering a Prescription” and “Attempting to Obtain a Prescription by Fraud”. Suspect Stump passed the altered prescription in an attempt to obtain “Suboxone”.
