Nanjemoy, MD โ€“ On Friday, Sept. 7, at approximately 2:54 p.m., troopers from the Maryland State Police La Plata Barrack responded to a reported motor vehicle collision in the area of eastbound MD Rt. 6 (Port Tobacco Road) east of Spike Virginia Place, Nanjemoy, MD.

ย ย ย ย  Upon arrival, Troopers observed the driver, Dedric Kenya Ross, from Upper Marlboro, being treated by EMS personnel. A preliminary investigation by Troopers indicated the vehicle was traveling eastbound MD Rt. 6 and for unknown reasons, Ross drove off the roadway, struck a pole, was ejected from the motorcycle, and consequently struck a tree. After all medical treatment efforts were unsuccessful, Ross was pronounced deceased on scene by EMS personnel.
