PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — A Glen Burnie man is being held without bond following his arrest in Calvert County on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges stemming from a series of incidents reported on Jan. 26, 2026, according to court records.
Jeffrey Paul Voiers, 41, of Glen Burnie, was taken into custody after deputies with the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports involving a stolen vehicle, a pursuit, and allegations of kidnapping. Court documents indicate the investigation unfolded across several locations in the county, including Prince Frederick and the Barstow area.
According to statements of probable cause, deputies identified a red 2018 Toyota Corolla reported stolen out of Anne Arundel County. When officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the driver allegedly fled, leading deputies on a pursuit through multiple roadways. Investigators reported the vehicle failed to stop at traffic signals, crossed the center line, and traveled into oncoming lanes before eventually stopping.
Authorities allege that during the incident, a passenger was present in the vehicle. Court records state the kidnapping charge stems from allegations that the individual was unlawfully confined and transported without consent.
Following the stop, deputies reported locating suspected controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia and recovered items consistent with drug use. Officers also noted the presence of a glass smoking device and suspected cocaine residue, according to charging documents. Additional evidence was recovered after the vehicle was secured and Voiers was taken into custody.
Voiers faces charges including kidnapping, theft between $1,500 and under $25,000, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Several traffic-related offenses are also listed, including attempting to elude police, reckless driving, and other violations connected to the pursuit.
Records show Voiers was ordered held without bond following bail review hearings on Jan. 27 and Jan. 28, with District Court Judge Robyn Riddle presiding over the final bond decision. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 26, 2026, in Calvert District Court.
