On Thursday, Feb. 25 at approximately 10:51 p.m., authorities responded to the scene of a reported overturned vehicle with possible entrapment in the area near 19371 Three Notch Road in St. James. Units from Bay District, Lexington Park and Ridge responded to the scene.

When units arrived, they discovered a single vehicle about 100 feet off the roadway and overturned with a single victim inside the vehicle. Units removed the female who was alert and conscious, and advised that she had sustained an ankle injury.

It was stated that apparently the driver was coming up Mattapany Road and failed to stop at the stop sign, rolled across both lanes of Three Notch Road and entered the woods where the vehicle overturned.

One witness reported that the driver appeared to be combative with rescue workers and had to be restrained. Authorities are continuing to investigate this accident.
