Leonardtown, Md. โ A motor vehicle collision involving a moped occurred late Saturday morning on Point Lookout Road near Third Base, prompting an emergency response from local fire and EMS personnel.
According to initial reports, first responders were dispatched at approximately 11:00 a.m. near the intersection of Point Lookout Road and Poppops Lane. Fire & EMS units arrived on the scene, where they found a vehicle and a moped had collided. The moped operator was discovered lying in the roadway.
Emergency medical services initiated Advanced Life Support (ALS) measures at the scene. The injured individual was transported Priority 1 to MedStar St. Maryโs Hospital with troopers on board while CPR was actively in progress.
Motorists in the area are advised to exercise caution while crews work on the scene.
POINT LOOKOUT RD has been re-opened.
