WALDORF, Md. โ Two people were transported to Charles Regional Medical Center Saturday morning following a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Middletown Road and McDaniel Road. Emergency units responded around 9:24 a.m. for reports of a motor vehicle collision with injuries.
According to dispatch, the initial caller was unable to speak but complained of leg pain. Emergency responders arrived to find three vehicles involved in the crash with one vehicle off the roadway. Crews requested additional transport units due to the number of patients requiring medical attention.
A 34-year-old woman was transported to Charles Regional Medical Center with shoulder, arm and leg pain. Authorities say she was conscious, alert and breathing at the scene. A 57-year-old man was also transported to the hospital with rib and hip pain. He was reportedly conscious and breathing during transport.
Both patients were transported as Priority 3, indicating non-life-threatening injuries. Emergency crews cleared the scene by 10:52 a.m. after completing patient transport and investigation operations.
The cause of the three-vehicle collision remains under investigation.
