PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – On January 23, 2022 at 2:44 a.m., Cpl. Pounsberry responded to a traffic complainant southbound Rt. 4 in the area of Sixes Road in Prince Frederick, MD for a vehicle traveling with no lights at a high rate of speed (over 100 MPH).
A traffic stop was attempted, but the suspect vehicle failed to stop. The operator continued to travel at a high rate in an attempt to flee law enforcement. After a brief pursuit, deputies lost sight of vehicle.
At approximately 3:16 a.m., the suspect vehicle was located traveling northbound on Rt. 4 in the area of Calvert Cliffs State Park in Lusby, MD with its lights off. DFC Idol and Cpl. Robshaw conducted a felony traffic stop and the operator, Ericson Paul Brown, 22 of Waldorf, MD was placed under arrest.
Brown admitted to the earlier pursuit as he was fleeing due to his registration being suspended.
Brown was detained and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with Negligent and Reckless Driving along with other traffic related charges.
Operating a motor vehicle with headlights off at over 100 mph.. This POS put other people in danger all for a registration being suspended…
if he had only stopped in the beginning taken what was coming to him…But NO! .. he had to rack up more charges . Fines , attorney costs and additional offences on his licence .

Sad thing is he will be fined and won’t pay it,told not to drive and drive anyway, hit him with the book and just like the first time he’ll show you how your laws don’t bother him.
If you think he ran because of an expired registration, you’re lying to yourself. Most likely he was transporting drugs the first time, made his drop by the second stop, that’s way he didn’t run the second stop.
