WALDORF, Md. โ A young woman was struck by a vehicle Sunday night on Crain Highway in Waldorf and transported to Capital Region Medical Center. The Waldorf pedestrian accident occurred around 9:48 p.m. on September 14, 2025, near 2690 Crain Highway.
The Waldorf pedestrian accident involved an approximately 24-year-old Black female who was found in the roadway after being struck by a vehicle. Accordingly, dispatch reported the woman was conscious, alert, and breathing when first responders arrived.
The accident occurred on Crain Highway, a busy thoroughfare in Waldorf. Additionally, officials reported the woman had no serious bleeding visible at the scene and remained conscious throughout the emergency response.
Multiple emergency units responded to the scene. Successively, paramedics evaluated the patient and determined transport to the hospital was necessary for her injuries. Emergency crews transported the patient by ambulance to Capital Region Medical Center with Priority 2 status around 10:13 p.m.
The circumstances surrounding how the pedestrian came to be in the roadway have not been released. To that end, the incident remains under investigation by responding authorities.
Consequently, traffic on Crain Highway was affected while emergency crews worked at the scene. All units are reported to have cleared the accident location by approximately 10:08 p.m.
