PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – The Kocen Arts Center is excited to announce a new season of upcoming arts classes designed to inspire creativity and connect the community through hands-on artistic experiences. Open to a wide range of ages and skill levels, these classes invite participants to explore new techniques, develop their talents, and engage with local artists and instructors in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Upcoming classes and programs include:
Yoga to Create Space / February 7, 12pm – 1pm
A calming yoga class is designed to help participants unwind, build strength, and find balance. This welcoming class is suitable for all experience levels and focuses on mindful movement, breath, and creating space both physically and mentally.
Watercolor and Florals Class / February 16, 1pm – 3pm
This watercolor class invites participants to paint a beautiful floral arrangement while learning professional watercolor techniques such as dry brushing, blending, layering, and flooding. Ideal for beginners and intermediate artists alike, this class emphasizes both skill-building and creative expression.
A Journey with the Stars / February 21, 4pm – 5pm
A captivating astrophotography presentation showcasing breathtaking images of the cosmos, paired with stories and insights into the magic of capturing the night sky through the lens. This program is free and open to the public; RSVP is required.
Pressed Flower Workshop / February 26, 10am – 12pm
In this hands-on workshop, participants will arrange and design with real pressed flowers to create unique, nature-inspired artwork. Attendees can expect to create bookmarks and at least one small notecard to cherish forever.
