WHITE PLAINS, Md. — A White Plains man is facing multiple protective order violation charges after allegedly refusing to leave his father’s residence and making threatening statements, despite being served with an interim protective order. Michael James Trone Jr., 35, was arrested twice in one day for allegedly violating the same protective order.
According to officials, an interim protective order was issued on Sept. 13, 2025, by Commissioner Hailey Stack against Trone Jr. The order was served on Sept. 14, 2025, at 1:10 a.m. by Pfc. Kayla Frazier at a residence on Zion Street in White Plains.
Police reports allege that Trone Jr. violated the protective order immediately upon being served by refusing to vacate his father’s residence as required. Officers reportedly gave him multiple opportunities to leave and offered transportation, but he refused to comply. During this initial contact, Trone Jr. allegedly attempted to contact his father at least three times in the officers’ presence.
After being arrested for the first alleged violation and processed, Trone Jr. was released but later returned to the same residence. According to police, Officer Weaver responded around 7:38 a.m. for another protective order violation report and found Trone Jr. sitting on the front porch of the property, in violation of the order’s no-contact and no-entry provisions.
While being escorted to the patrol vehicle during the second arrest, Trone Jr.’s father reportedly came outside. Court records state that when Trone Jr. saw him, he turned and yelled, “You are a horrible [expletive] person,” which was determined to be a violation of the order’s prohibition against harassment or contact.
The interim protective order was scheduled to remain in effect until Sept. 15, 2025, at 10 a.m. The order specifically prohibited Trone Jr. from entering his father’s residence and from contacting, attempting to contact, or harassing his father in person, by telephone, in writing, or by any other means.
Trone Jr. faces protective order violation charges in two separate cases, each carrying maximum penalties of 90 days in jail and $1,000 fines for first offenses. Judge Robert B. Riddle presided over his bail review hearings on Sept. 15 and 16, 2025, during which Trone Jr. was ordered held without bond.
The Charles County Public Defender’s Office has entered an appearance on his behalf and filed motions requesting a speedy trial and discovery of evidence.
Trials for both cases are scheduled for Nov. 7, 2025, at 9 a.m. in Charles County District Court. The State’s Attorney’s Office for Charles County is prosecuting both cases.
