Tell that to the two winners of The Bay Net’s Mother’s Day contest, Summer Wishon and Michelle White!
On Friday, Summer Wishon picked up her winnings from JF Harris for G&H Jewelers in California from store manager, Callie Larson.
What did Wishon win?
A Sterling silver and diamond Mother’s Day necklace worth $1,400!
“I’m nervous and excited all at the same time,” said Wishon waiting to discover what she had won.
Wishon blushed as she was handed the beautiful piece of jewelry designed by world famous jewelry designer Scott Kay. The mother of three and step-mother to four was all smiles as Larson presented the necklace.
“We used to live here in St. Mary’s County,” said Wishon. “My daughter loves to get on line and I like to keep up with the news from here.”
Wishon’s 7 year old daughter, Chloe along with Wishon’s husband, Todd helped write the winning entry and submitted it. “We were all so surprised when we won!” exclaimed Wishon.
Larson was all smiles as she watched the winner seemingly float out of the busy jewelry store. When asked about the piece of jewelry, Larson said, “We specialize in one-of-a-kind and designer jewelry, high-end time pieces and loose diamonds.”
She went on to say that unlike so many other jewelry stores, JF Harris for G&H Jewelers is a single, family-owned business that has been operating in the same way for 50 years.
The affable store manager has been leading the effort for the past ten years. “I interned here when in college and they offered me a position and I have been here ever since,” Larson said.
Originally from central Illinois, Larson is also a Graduate Gemologist from Gemological Institute of America and a Certified Gemologist from American Gem Society. “Everyone that works here is certified. We feel education is very important part of our customer service.”
Michelle White, winner of the luxurious facial from S-kape in Leonardtown was unable to receive her winning facial today, but The Bay Net will be there to report on her winnings as well when she is available.
