William (Bud) Beard, Jr., 73 of Chaptico, Maryland passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025. Born August 13, 1951, in Greensburg, PA, born son of the late William A Beard, Sr. and Esther Show Beard.
He was in the Navy Vietnam Veteran for twelve years (1971-1983) and served on the USS Mt Whitney, along with accomplishments in construction and carpentry. He enjoyed his family, traveling, pitching horseshoes, throwing darts, and spending time with their dogs, Bulo and Ohgee. He was preceded in death by his third wife Valeria Beard, son Robert Beard, brother David Beard, sister Geri Kozinko, sister Virginia Conrad, son-in-law Timothy Smith, and nephew Edward Mutnansky Jr. Bud is survived by his fiancée Rhonda Hill, daughter Amy (Scott) Beard Smith Schmidt, grandson Robert Smith, granddaughter Hannah Smith, sisters Sandy (Ed) Beard Mutnansky, Chris Beard Martz, brother Stephen (Donna) Beard, stepdaughter Keysia Everette (Jerry), nephews Tony Kozinko, Tim (Jessica) Kozinko, David (Nicole) Mutnansky, Ben (Stephanie) Beard, nieces Jamie Beard Gribshaw, and Fawn (Dustin) Martz Hallenbeck, brother-in-laws Robert Conrad and John Kozinko, special Aunties Clara, Emily, Josephine, and Margaret, aunt Estella Nedley, aunt Judi Maiolie, aunt Sharon (Doug) Elliott, aunt Darlene Stanoszek, and great aunts Mayme Amour and Helen McCordy, along with many great nieces and nephews, aunts, numerous cousins, family, and friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Bushwood, MD. Where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM with Rev. Kevin Fields officiating. Interment will follow in Maryland Veterans Cemetery Cheltenham, MD. Serving as pallbearers will be JB Abell, Ellis Gibson, Joe Hall, Donnie Lacey, Johnny Lacey, and John Lowe.
