On March 3, Corporal Smolarsky responded to a residence on Goddard Court in Leonardtown for an assault.
The victim alleged, suspect Anitra Sharell Young, age 30, of Leonardtown, struck the victim with a hammer during an argument. Young also struck the victim in the face with her fists causing visible injuries.
Young was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was charged with 2nd Degree Assault.
