LA PLATA, Md. — A 32-year-old woman was flown to an area trauma center on Monday, Oct. 27, 2025, at about 11:04 a.m. after her car struck trees in the area of Pomfret Road and Brierwood Road.
EMS reported the driver had possible broken ribs and a deformed femur. A medevac was requested and she was flown to MedStar Washington Hospital Center.
No other vehicles were involved; the cause remains under investigation.
