On Nov. 24, St. Mary’s Sheriff’s SDFC Handy responded to Lexington Park for a domestic assault in progress.
Upon arrival he observed the victim, who had been slashed in the face with a knife.
The suspect, identified as Linda M. Atkins 45 of Lexington Park, allegedly cut the victim’s face during an argument at the residence.
The victim’s injuries were not life threatening.
Atkins was arrested and charged with first-degree assault. She was transported to the Detention Center pending a bond hearing before the District Court Commissioner.
