Construction of a concrete apron on the Armory Road roundabout at the intersection of Dares Beach Road in Prince Frederick yesterday evening has required temporary alternating one-way traffic patterns that will continue through the afternoon today, Oct. 31, weather permitting.
A continuous flagging operation will alert motorists to the work. Motorists should consider using alternate routes if possible to avoid delays. A similar traffic pattern will occur again for one day during the week of Nov. 3 for the pouring of the second half of the apron.
As part of the road improvement project, enhancements will include new sidewalks, wider shoulders and pedestrian lights along with the traffic circle. The project is part of the larger Prince Frederick loop road.
