On February 7, deputies responded to the Days Inn in Lexington Park, for a report of a controlled dangerous substance violation in room 308.
As deputies were standing outside of room 308, Kese Eman Lyles, 28 of no fixed address, opened the door to the room. When Lyles saw the deputies standing outside of the door he attempted to hide behind the door. Concerned for their officer’s safety the deputies stepped inside of the room. The deputies immediately smelled an odor of burnt marijuana and observed, in plain view, a baggie of suspected marijuana.
Lyles was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (suspected marijuana).
