NORTH BEACH, Md. — The North Beach Volunteer Fire Department is currently holding the 2024 Leather Raffle, with some amazing prizes up for grabs for the first responders in your life. Grab your tickets soon before they’re all gone!

This Leather Raffle has been held before by the NBVFD, but this time the prizes are more “firefighter-focused,” just in time for the holiday season. The prizes include items such as custom firefighter shields, custom radio straps, and, for first place, the choice of an N5A or N6A helmet. These items could be yours depending on your placement in the raffle.

Proceeds from the Leather Raffle will go toward the NBVFD’s Cadet Program (volunteers ages 14–17) and will “provide equipment and transportation to special training and other fire department-related events like the Fallen Memorial Ceremonies in Annapolis and Emmitsburg,” said Chief Deputy John Tippett.

Tippett also stated, “We are also working on a field trip to the UL Fire Research Institute just outside of Philadelphia. The institute conducts full-scale fire experiments, then disseminates the information to the fire service to help firefighters make better decisions on the fireground.”

It is important to note that you do not have to be a first responder to participate in the raffle. Tippett added, “If a non-firefighter happens to win, I’m sure there is a firefighter somewhere in their circle that would appreciate one of the prizes.”

There are currently only 60 tickets remaining. Once those 60 tickets are sold, the raffle will be held on Facebook Live, and prizes will be awarded. Raffle tickets are $50 for one or $90 for two.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.NBVFDCADETS.com or by visiting their Facebook page at facebook.com/NBVFDOFFICIAL. Good luck to all!
