HUGHESVILLE, Md. — A 36-year-old man was flown to a trauma center Thursday morning after a roller overturned at a job site in Hughesville.

The incident was reported around 8:38 a.m. on April 16, 2026, in the 5700 block of Goode Road. Initial reports indicated a possible entrapment involving a compact roller, but crews later advised there was no entrapment.

Emergency personnel treated the man on scene for injuries involving the lower body after the roller overturned.

Due to the severity of the injuries, a Maryland State Police helicopter was requested. Trooper 2 responded and transported the patient to MedStar Washington Hospital Center for further treatment.

Multiple units from Charles County responded to the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
