37 Year Old Woman Caught Driving Unregistered Car With Stolen Tags in Leonardtown

At 11:13 pm on Friday, Jan. 6, Tpr. M. Moore stopped a vehicle for a cracked windshield and no front tag, on Route 5 at Abell Street in Leonardtown. 

A check through the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) showed the tag displayed had been reported stolen.  An MVA check indicated the vehicle was unregistered. 

The driver, Zita Michelle Holly, 37, of Mechanicsville, was arrested and charged with Theft.  She was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bail review.
