On Monday evening, October 3, 2011, at approximately 7:30 pm, there was an accident at Route 260 and Boyds Turn Road. The North Beach Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance (Co.1) responded to the call and found a two vehicle accident with two drivers that needed to be evaluated. Also on the call was the ambulance from Huntingtown (Co. 6). After evaluation of the individuals, there was one person transported to Calvert Memorial Hospital and one that signed a release at the scene. The ambulance from North Beach handled the transport to hospital. Report from the scene is that the red Chevrolet was making a turn from Route 260 on to Boyds Turn Road when the gray vehicle ran the light and stuck the car turning. All traffic going West/North on Route 260 had to be stopped until fire equipment cleared the scene.
Police are handling the report and investigation.
