Always Ice Cream Opens In Prince Frederick

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — Always Ice Cream has officially opened its doors in Prince Frederick.

This location of the popular Maryland-based ice cream company hosted its grand opening ceremony on Dec. 5, with a ribbon-cutting, a crowd and free hot chocolate. Located at 459 N. Solomons Island Road at the new Armory Square shopping center in Prince Frederick, Always will be open from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, noon to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 9 p.m. on Sunday.

Always Ice Cream was launched in Annapolis by Mark and Adamn Cohen, who are also the founders of Annapolis Ice Cream Company. They have been voted Best of Annapolis since 2004, and were Best of Central Maryland in 2022 and 2023.

The Prince Frederick location is the company’s eighth location, and its first in Calvert County and Southern Maryland. The shop offers locally made, ultra-premium ice cream crafted in Edgewater, in a family-friendly atmosphere where guests can enjoy rich, high-quality flavors.

Always Ice Cream didn’t immediately reply to The BayNet’s request for a comment about the grand opening or what they have in store for the Prince Frederick location, but interested customers will be excited to browse the menu online or in person and try this new spot for themselves.

Always is open now and ready for customers — no matter how cold it gets outside, it will always be time for ice cream.
