At 1 a.m. on March 28 Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to a residence in the 2000 block of Dakota Street in Bryans Road for the report of an assault.
Investigation revealed a 43-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman were arguing when the woman threw a porcelain cup at the man, causing a laceration to the man’s neck. The woman fled the scene prior to the officers’ arrival.
During the investigation, she returned to the residence. She was identified as Rebecca Lorraine George, 42, of Bryans Road, and charged with second degree assault.
She was being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner. The man refused medical treatment.
