On April 3 at 8:10 p.m., officers responded to the 1000 block of

Bannister Circle

in Waldorf for the report of an assault and attempted robbery. Investigation showed the victim, 18, was walking in the area when a group of suspects approached and demanded money. The victim replied he had no money and one suspect punched him. The victim fled and called police. Officers canvassed the area and developed several leads in the case. The investigation is continuing.
