
LEONARDTOWN, Md. — Engines, horsepower and hometown competition will take center stage April 11 as the Battle by the Bay Truck & Tractor Pull returns to the St. Mary’s County Fairgrounds, bringing a full slate of modified trucks, tractors and diesel-powered machines to Southern Maryland.
The event, scheduled for Saturday, April 11, will feature multiple pulling classes ranging from street diesel pickups and semi-trucks to pro stock tractors and modified street trucks, offering a broad mix of competitors and spectators.
Gates open at 3 p.m., with pulls beginning at 5 p.m. A rain date is scheduled for April 12. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children, and free for children under 5.
The event is presented by Great Mills Trading Post and hosted at the St. Mary’s County Fairgrounds in Leonardtown, where organizers expect competitors and fans from across Southern Maryland and surrounding regions.
New Classes And Featured Competition
This year’s event introduces Super Modified 2WD Trucks, one of several featured classes alongside:
- 6300 Modified Street Trucks
- 8000 Pro Stock Tractors
- Altered Farm Tractors
- 10,500 Hot Farm Tractors
- Street Diesel Pickups
- Semi-Trucks
The event is described as “The Showdown in Leonardtown,” highlighting the competitive format and variety of equipment expected to participate.
Regional Event Returns To Southern Maryland
Battle by the Bay continues to grow as a regional motorsports event, drawing agricultural, diesel performance and motorsports enthusiasts to St. Mary’s County. Spectators can visit BayTractorPull.com for additional information and updates ahead of the event.
