NORTH BEACH, Md. — A Chesapeake Beach man was arrested after allegedly causing a disturbance while intoxicated on the North Beach Boardwalk, according to court documents.

Alexander Tupac Negretti, 49, of Chesapeake Beach, is charged with disorderly conduct, intoxicated public disturbance, and failure to obey a lawful order in connection with the March 31, 2026 incident.

According to the statement of probable cause, a Calvert County Sheriff’s deputy responded around the evening hours to the area of 9101 Bay Avenue for reports of a disorderly individual on the boardwalk. Upon arrival, a witness directed deputies to Negretti, who was observed with a head injury but did not require medical attention.

Deputies reported that Negretti appeared highly intoxicated, slurring his speech and unable to stand upright without assistance. Witnesses told deputies that he had been yelling at a group of juveniles and attempting to start a fight prior to police arrival.

Authorities said Negretti continued yelling profanities on the boardwalk and ignored repeated commands to stop. At one point, he agreed to leave the area, but continued to shout and caused further disturbance as he attempted to walk away, nearly falling multiple times.

Shortly after, deputies observed Negretti walking into the roadway on Bay Avenue, drawing attention from bystanders. He was then taken into custody without further incident, though authorities noted he attempted to pull away while being escorted to a patrol vehicle.

Negretti was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center following his arrest.

Court records show he was later released on his own recognizance.

A trial is scheduled for May 8, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in Calvert District Court.

A booking photo of the suspect was provided to TheBayNet.com by the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office upon request.
