Anne Arundel County Police case

LAUREL, Md. — A violent altercation in Laurel on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, ended with one man stabbed and another facing attempted murder charges.

Officers were called to the 3300 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road around 2:30 p.m. after multiple 911 callers reported two men fighting, one of them armed with a knife. Police said they arrived to find the men still struggling when one dropped the weapon. The other, a 33-year-old man, was suffering from a stab wound to his torso.

First responders provided medical aid at the scene before the victim was taken to a nearby hospital by fire department personnel.

Police arrested Terry Rodney-Jerome Hunter, 31, of Laurel, at the scene. Hunter is charged with attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and reckless endangerment.

He was held without bond.

The case remains under investigation.
