Burnt Marijuana Emiting from Vehicle Leads to Drug Arrest

On August 28, 2010 at 4:48 p.m., TFC N. E. Gresko initiated a traffic stop on Maryland Route 235 at Buck Hewitt Road on a black Nissan for a traffic violation.

Upon making contact with the operator of the vehicle, TFC Gresko detected the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed CDS – Marijuana and Oxycontin. Arrested for possession of CDS was Zachary Thomas Evans, 26 of Leonardtown.

Evans was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
