At 3:23 p.m. Aug. 17, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the 8400 block of Marshall Corner Road in Pomfret for the motor vehicle crash.
Investigation revealed an eastbound 2004 Cadillac Deville attempted to turn left in front of a westbound 1999 Mercury Sable and the vehicles collided.
The driver of the Deville, Jackson David Brown, 65, of White Plains, was not injured.
The driver of the Sable, Lisa Carol Makowelski, 45, of La Plata, sustained non-life-threatening, incapacitating injuries and was transported by ambulance to Civista Medical Center.
Brown was issued a traffic citation for failure to yield the right of way while making a left turn. Officer R. Glover of the Traffic Operations Unit investigated.
