PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — Calvert County Parks and Recreation is calling for local businesses to join them in the all-new Spring Fling Event.

This free, family-friendly event will take place on Sunday, March 29, from 12:30 to 3 p.m. at Hallowing Point Park. The event will include games, activities, face painting, food trucks, a petting zoo, a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny, and more.

Vendors can participate for a $25 fee. They will get a 10×10 outdoor space to set up and must provide all of their own items, including a table and chairs. Vendors may also set up tents. Setup will begin at 10 a.m. on the date of the event, and vendors will have drive-up access to their spaces.

To be a vendor for the Spring Fling event, all businesses must pre-register by March 15 using the registration form as well as the keyword “26-SFVENDOR.”

Hallowing Point Park is a popular location for larger-scale events in Calvert County, including Hallowing Halloween. It’s also on the list of locations for the county-wide Easter Egg Hunt, which lasts from March 29 to April 6. You can see all events hosted by Calvert Parks and Recreation online, and special events here.

As for special events in Feb., the department is looking forward to hosting the therapeutic duck race at Edward T. Hall Aquatic Center on Feb. 28. The duck race allows you to sponsor a duck and contribute toward the scholarship fund that helps provide services to those with special needs in the community.
