DUNKIRK, Md. – Voices In Praise, a community youth choir located in Calvert County, has been selected to perform at The White House on Saturday, December 20, 2025, as part of a Holiday Open House. This exciting invitation recognizes the choir’s exceptional musicianship, performance experience, and unique way of combining music and community service.
Over the last year alone, in the US and Scotland, Voices In Praise has performed at
churches and cathedrals; nursing homes and retirement communities; homeless
shelters; a summer camp for refugee children; and various community events.
“In Voices In Praise, we aim to serve all people in all places through our singing,” said
senior Linnea Burkholder. “Whether it’s at a nursing home, homeless shelter, or The
White House, it is VIP’s goal to share our music with everyone.”
The upcoming White House performance represents a milestone achievement for the
young singers, ages 11 – 18, many of whom have dedicated years to honing their craft.
“There is such power and beauty in the distinct sound of a youth choir,” said Founder
and Director Holly Reynolds Lee. “There is nothing quite like it in the world. When
Voices In Praise sings, ‘A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices,’ you can almost feel
hope enter the room and you know that joy is just around the corner.”
Voices in Praise is a nonprofit organization. The choir rehearses on Monday nights in
Huntingtown, MD and is open to all students in Grades 6 – 12 without audition.

Awesome, congratulations on such a great achievement.
Very interested! Can we sign up? Where in Huntingtown? And what time please?
