CHAPTICO, Md. — Chaptico Market & Deli will team up with Thomas Fence Company on Monday, Nov. 24, to hand out free turkey dinners to local families in need.
The drive-thru distribution will begin at 3 p.m. in the market’s parking lot near the ice cream window. Drivers will be asked to pull up, pop their trunk and remain in their vehicles while staff load the food.
Each package will include a turkey along with stuffing, green beans, corn and potatoes, according to the business.
Organizers said the effort is meant to offer a little extra support to households feeling the pinch as the Thanksgiving holiday approaches.
