WASHINGTON, DC — The IRS says you may want to check your bank account for the second round of stimulus checks.

According to the agency, the $600 deposits have already landed in some accounts and will continue to be deposited through next week. Paper checks will be mailed out starting today.

No action is needed on the part of taxpayers. “Some Americans may see the direct deposit payments as pending or as provisional payments in their accounts before the official payment date of January 4, 2021. The IRS reminds taxpayers that the payments are automatic, and they should not contact their financial institutions or the IRS with payment timing questions.”

Who Gets a Check?

According to the IRS,ย  U.S. citizens and resident aliens who are not eligible to be claimed as a dependent on someone elseโ€™s income tax return are eligible.

How Much Will You Get?

A payment of up to $600 for individuals or $1200 for married couples. Plus $600 for each qualifying child.

Individuals with adjusted gross incomes of up to $75,000 and couples with incomes of up to $150,000 are eligible for the full amount.ย
