ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. — The Anne Arundel County Food Bank (AACFB) works tirelessly to ensure that those seeking assistance have a full pantry of food year-round. Community contributions help keep the food bank up and running, so Crosby Marketing Communications has committed to a donation match of up to $50,000 this July to encourage local residents and businesses to contribute.
Based out of Annapolis, Crosby Marketing Communications has donated more than $400,000 to the Anne Arundel County Food Bank since 2020. The $50,000 match challenge may help spread awareness of the high rate of food insecurity in Anne Arundel County, potentially leading to more support for the AACFB.
“There are too many people in our community — from working families to seniors — who struggle every day to put nutritious food on the table. We hope this funding match encourages others to support our neighbors in need,” shared Raymond Crosby, CEO of Crosby Marketing Communications.
Community members can make a recurring or one-time donation on the Anne Arundel County Food Bank website.

According to the Anne Arundel County Food Bank, around 66,000 people face food insecurity across Anne Arundel County, which is why food banks are crucial in providing free necessities to those seeking assistance. The AACFB also operates a mobile food pantry to offer shelf-stable foods and essential items for families, such as diapers.
The mobile food pantry doesn’t simply help feed residents — it also provides a return to normal for struggling families. Residents can pick which items they take home, offering a dignified experience and reducing overall food waste. Around 100 households are served by the mobile food pantry in each visit, tackling food insecurity in one area of Anne Arundel County at a time.

In a recent press release, the chief executive officer of the Anne Arundel County Food Bank, Leah Paley, shared a few words about why support from the local community is essential in their mission:
“Crosby’s support not only helps to provide the Anne Arundel County Food Bank with financial resources to purchase nutritious foods, but also, through this incredible match opportunity, inspires philanthropic support of our work from individuals and businesses across our community.
“Partnerships like the one we have with Crosby make it possible for the Anne Arundel County Food Bank to provide fresh, quality foods that are critical to helping our neighbors facing food insecurity achieve healthy outcomes.”
