LA PLATA, Md. — Dinosaurs are stomping into Southern Maryland for one day only when Lowe’s in La Plata hosts the “Dinosaurs & I Heart Cookies” tour stop on Tuesday, Oct. 21, from 2 to 7 p.m.
The family-friendly event will take place in the parking lot at Lowe’s Home Improvement, 300 Rosewick Road, La Plata, featuring massive animatronic dinosaurs, interactive displays and the popular I Heart Cookies food truck.

The traveling attraction features life-sized, moving dinosaurs that roam and interact with visitors, creating an up-close experience that’s both educational and entertaining. The dinosaur experience is designed to engage children and families through realistic displays, photo opportunities and themed activities.
The exhibit will include a variety of life-sized dinosaurs such as two towering T-Rex models, a gigantic Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Spinosaurus and several baby dinosaurs, including a baby T-Rex and Triceratops. The setup will also feature a raptor enclosure, transport trucks and a fossil dig pit where children can play and explore.

The La Plata stop is the only Southern Maryland location on the tour. Admission requires the purchase of at least one cookie per person, priced at $5 each or six for $25, which grants access to the dinosaur experience.
