
LEONARDTOWN, Md. — Interactive craft classes offer a unique avenue to try new hobbies in a fun and caring environment. Now, one Leonardtown woman, Shannon Morgan, is bringing her passion to the Southern Maryland craft community.
Nestled in the back of Leonardtown Square, Crafts N Stitches welcomes visitors with a dazzling collection of custom wreaths, hats, Dungeons & Dragons equipment, and humorous gnomes lining the shelves.

There’s a selection of hand-crafted items for sale that appeals to children and adults alike, ensuring everyone can find something just for them. Crafts N Stitches is also the perfect place to shop for your artistic friends and family. Equipped with a claw machine, this shop is a must-visit if you find yourself strolling the streets of Leonardtown Square.
Though the shop is full of wondrous trinkets, the true heart of Crafts N Stitches is its craft classes. Each experience offers a guided opportunity to learn how to create a variety of fun items, including everything from hanging terrariums to holiday wreaths.

The BayNet visited Crafts N Stitches to explore the glass decoupage class. Shannon instructed each participant on the proper way to place designs on the glass containers, providing a plethora of materials and patterns to ensure no two containers looked the same.
One aspect that sets Crafts N Stitches apart from similar businesses is its wide array of classes, paired with Shannon’s extensive knowledge and passion for creating hand-crafted items.
Help was swiftly provided where necessary, and the friendly atmosphere allowed everyone to create their own masterpiece in a fun environment. At the end of the class, Shannon gave everyone their final product to take home.

The classes offered by Crafts N Stitches are a great way to spend an afternoon, and young children will love the variety of art they can create. Each activity costs around $30 for a two-hour session.
