On June 18, Deputy Nielson responded to the CVS Pharmacy in Lexington Park, for a report of an impaired driver.ย
St. Maryโs County Emergency Communication Center dispatched a lookout for a white female operating a gold Nissan with Maryland registration.ย It was reported the female driver almost struck several individuals with her vehicle as she pulled into the CVS parking lot.ย
As Deputy Nielson arrived at the CVS he observed a white female walking from a gold vehicle heading into the CVS.ย Deputy Nielson was approached a witness who identified the female as the operator of the gold Nissan who almost hit his vehicle.ย Deputy Nielson contacted the female who was identified as Jennifer Marie Money, 25 of Lexington Park.

As Deputy Nielson spoke with Money he noticed she displayed slurred speech and blood shot eyes with constricted pupils.ย Money appeared to have difficulty comprehending Deputy Nielsonโs questions and locating her driverโs license.ย
Further investigation revealed Money had taken prescription medication earlier in the day.ย As Deputy Nielson was speaking with Money she was nervous and kept fidgeting with her purse.ย When Deputy Nielson asked to see the contents of Moneyโs purse she became agitated and pulled the purse away.ย Fearing for his safety, Deputy Nielson took the purse from Money and looked inside.ย The purse contained several prescription bottles with a variety of pills contained within each bottle.ย
Deputy Nielson contacted the Poison Control Center and identified the pills.ย The narcotics contained in the prescription bottle did not match the name of the narcotics listed on the bottle.ย Money was given a standard field sobriety test.ย
As a result of the test she was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, two counts of possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia and driving while impaired.
