PARK HALL, Md. — Despite chilly temperatures and cloudy skies, families gathered Saturday at Park Hall Elementary School for the school’s annual Parent Teacher Association (PTA) Spring Festival, where students and community members enjoyed an afternoon filled with games, activities and springtime fun.

Hosted by the school’s PTA, the festival ran from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and drew a steady crowd of students, parents and local residents eager to take part in the festivities.

One of the biggest attractions of the day was the petting zoo, where children eagerly interacted with friendly farm animals while parents snapped photos nearby. Colorful face painting was also popular, with students proudly showing off bright designs as they explored the festival grounds.

Several fundraising activities organized by the PTA were also featured throughout the event. Handmade spring wreaths crafted by volunteers were available for purchase, and a raffle gave attendees the opportunity to win prizes. Local Girl Scouts also set up a booth selling cookies, which drew plenty of attention from festivalgoers.

Food and treats added to the fair-like atmosphere. Local vendor The OTP Wing Wagon served up wings, fries and other hot menu items, while popcorn and cotton candy stands offered classic festival favorites for children and families.

Adding to the excitement, the Easter Bunny made a special appearance, greeting children and posing for photos as families gathered around the spring-themed celebration.

All the families got an opportunity to get a photo with the Easter Bunny!

“It’s wonderful to see so many families come out and enjoy time together,” a Park Hall Elementary PTA representative said. “Events like this help bring our school community closer while supporting programs for our students.”

Students especially looked forward to the egg hunts, which were organized by grade level so children could search for colorful eggs alongside classmates and friends. Laughter and cheers echoed across the school grounds as students participated in games and activities throughout the afternoon.

Throughout the festival, families continued arriving as children moved between activity stations, games and food stands. Parents chatted with neighbors while students excitedly compared face paint designs and egg hunt finds, creating a lively atmosphere that reflected the strong sense of community surrounding the school.

Although the weather remained cool and overcast, the enthusiastic turnout and smiling faces made it clear the celebration was a success for Park Hall Elementary and its PTA.
