Firefighters Rescue Dog From House Fire In Glen Burnie

GLEN BURNIE, Md. — Firefighters rescued a dog from a house fire Sunday in Glen Burnie, according to Anne Arundel County fire officials.

The incident occurred on April 12, 2026, in the 7900 block of Glengary Court, where crews were operating at a residential structure fire.

During the response, Fire Fighter Mills, assigned to Engine 18, located a dog named “Maggie” inside the home and safely removed the animal from the structure.

“Thanks to the quick actions and training of our crews, Maggie was brought out safely and given care on scene,” officials said.

“This is what your Anne Arundel County Professional Fire Fighters do every day—protecting lives, both human and animal, when seconds matter most,” officials added.

Engine 18 and assisting units remained on scene to complete fire suppression operations.
