TBN: How long have you been singing in public?
Gray: The first time I sang in public was when I was three years old, and I sang a song from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on a cruise ship.

TBN:ย  What mainly inspires you to write your songs?
Gray: Everything inspires me. I could be driving down the road at a stoplight, and an idea could come to me. Another place I get a lot of my ideas is in the shower. I swear itโ€™s because I donโ€™t have a pen to write things down in there. But, my friends, family, relationships at the time, everything I can think of can serve as a potential inspiration.

TBN:ย  Where is your favorite place to perform?
Gray: My favorite place Iโ€™ve ever performed is Richmond International Raceway. I sang God Bless America before the NASCAR race. You could hear a pin drop before I started to sing. The sky was bright blue, and I loved it. Everywhere I looked there were people looking at me to sing. It was huge. But I do love performing at home.

TBN: How would you describe yourself on stage?
Gray: When Iโ€™m on stage, I feel so happy. Itโ€™s my happy place. I feel at home when Iโ€™m on stage. I love getting the crowd involved and singing along with me, clapping. Itโ€™s my favorite place to be.

TBN: Your song, One of a Kind, has a special origin Iโ€™ve been told. Would you mind sharing that origin with us?
Gray: One of a Kind was about a past relationship of mine. It was a good, and fun relationship, so it deserved a song. It was a feel good song. I wrote it to be a roll your windows down, and just ride kind of song.
