“This session was, unfortunately, ultimately disappointing. While no new taxes or broad-based fees were imposed or increased, little to nothing was done to address the key issue of affordability for Maryland families and businesses.
Energy costs will continue to spiral upward, and the minuscule amounts their energy package may reduce from monthly bills won’t buy anyone anything more than an occasional fast-food meal. Housing costs have not been addressed in any meaningful way, and the reckless restrictions on landlords and personal property rights may dry up the rental market.
There is no income or property tax relief. This election-year budget simply moved money around and contained no spending reforms to the Blueprint or to Medicaid, both of which drive the bulk of our projected budget deficits. On matters that mean the most to Marylanders, there has been very little progress.
Conversely, in the last few days, this state has gotten softer on violent juvenile crime, softer on crime committed by violent illegal aliens, and has banned the most popular handgun utilized by Marylanders for home and personal protection. Our communities are less safe, and our citizens have lost a means to protect themselves, their families, and their homes.
Maryland’s Democratic majority is far too focused on DC and national politics. This legislative session has been a veritable cornucopia of anti-ICE, pro-redistricting virtue signaling with little attention paid to the concerns of average Maryland families.”

And that surprises anyone?
Lol
how many laws were rammed through this time?
Illegal aliens?? What planet are they from?
