In the early morning hours of Saturday, May 3, 2025, deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded swiftly after hearing gunshots near Chancellors Run Road and Pegg Road.
Upon arrival, deputies found a vehicle struck by gunfire, occupied by four adult males. Three occupants sustained gunshot injuries; two victims were airlifted to an area hospital and are currently listed in stable condition. A third injured occupant declined medical care, and a fourth was unharmed.
The shooter fled the scene, prompting an ongoing investigation led by the Criminal Investigations Division of the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office.
